About Us

The Neuroscience Unit (NSU) studies various aspects of the nervous system – its development, structure and function in healthy and diseased states. Approaches ranging from genetic, molecular, cellular, physiological and behavioural methods are employed. The studies from NSU have contributed to understanding circadian rhythms, sleep, autophagy, epilepsy, hydrocephalus, hereditary deafness, glioblastomas, neurodegeneration and autism spectrum disorders.
