About the event

The Neuroscience Unit at JNCASR is hosting “Nerve-storming: from molecules to behaviour” on 8-9 March 2024. This event will cover a variety of themes in the field of neuroscience, ranging from neurodevelopment, behaviour, to brain disorders. The symposium will dwell on diverse model systems (worm, insect, fish, bird, rodent, marsupial, monkey, cell, and organoid models) and discuss the challenges and technical advancements in studying the nervous system in health and disease.

Panel discussion on strengthening neuroscience research in India and a Q&A session with eLife editor on the nuances of peer review and publication are the other highlights of this symposium.

This will be a platform for interactions between eminent scientists and clinicians from across the country, encompassing basic, translational, and clinical neurobiology.

Excitingly, this event is part of the 35th anniversary celebration of JNCASR and also marks the 10th year of the Neuroscience Unit.
